Dear readers!

We would like to inform you that the Economic Revival of Russia journal is published by S.Y. Witte Institute for New Industrial Development (St. Petersburg).

In 1999, as academic scholars and practicing experts worked together to design strategic documents on long-term development strategy for high technology production and industrial policy during the transitional period in the history of the Russian economy, they laid the foundation for creation of S.Y. Witte Institute for New Industrial Development (INID).

S.Y. Witte Institute for New Industrial Development predominantly focuses on the study of issues related to Russia’s industrial development, reindustrialization of its economy, technological modernization of core industries, technological and economic mechanisms and instruments of modernization, foresight on medium- and long-term institutional, economic and technological effects, etc. The INID also devises industrial development concepts for Russian regions, regional clusters and technology transfer networks, as well as development concepts and strategies for major industrial complexes and leading Russian industrial companies. Over the years, the Institute has produced many expert projects.

Since 2012, the INID has been working under the supervision of the Russian Academy of Sciences and is a part of the Social Sciences Division System of the RAS (SSD RAS Resolution No. 2 of May 21, 2012).

The Institute incorporates over 50 researchers, including such prominent economists as corresponding member of the RAS R.S. Grinberg (INID Scientific Director), corresponding member of the RAS D.E. Sorokin, Head of the Moscow State University Interdisciplinary Center for Economic Science, Doctor of Economics and Professor A.V. Buzgalin, and other distinguished scholars.
